Dr. Shahabul Arfeen, M.D., FACP, FRCP (UK)
Dr. Shahabul Arfeen trained in Internal Medicine and Nephrology in the United Kingdom, where he obtained the prestigious Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians. He then completed a Fellowship in Nephrology at the University of Missouri, Columbia, where he served as Chief Resident, Clinical Instructor, and subsequently as an Assistant Professor of Medicine.
Dr. Arfeen has served as a consultant nephrologist in Northwest Indiana since 1995 and as a Medical Director for DaVita Dialysis. He holds certificates from Harvard Medical School in Global Clinical Scholar Research Training and in Safety, Quality, Informatics, and Leadership.
He has numerous peer-reviewed publications and a book chapter to his credit and is currently involved in active clinical research in Nephrology. His clinical interests include chronic kidney disease, hypertension, transplantation, dialysis, and electrolyte disturbances.
Dr. Arfeen holds a faculty position as Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine.
